ITINERARY
Note: To ensure you experience the full breadth of Ukraine’s culinary and wine scene, this gastronomic journey is designed as a Progressive Dining tour. By daily splitting meals across multiple venues, you’ll enjoy a wider variety of flavors and dishes within a limited timeframe. This approach allows you to sample signature creations from different establishments, each specializing in a particular course or regional style. You’ll also have the opportunity to discover a diverse selection of wines and local spirits, making every meal a rich and memorable adventure.
Arrival in Lviv
SkyUp is a Ukrainian airline that has previously operated routes to various international destinations, including the United States.
You’ll be arriving at Lviv’s Danylo Halytskyi International Airport, a key Ukrainian airport and the western gateway to the country. After the restoration of regular air service, it’s expected that SkyUp Airlines will resume direct flights from the US to Lviv.
Transfer to Citadel Gastro Boutique Hotel. It is a beautifully restored 19th-century fortress that masterfully combines historic charm with modern luxury. During our exploration of Lviv’s old city, we will pause at one of its most beloved coffee houses—Svit Kavy. Renowned for its expertly brewed coffee and warm, atmosphere, this

After savoring coffee at Svit Kavy (Світ Kави,) we continue our sightseeing tour through the historic heart of Lviv, where every
street seems to whisper stories of the past. Known as the “City of Churches,” Lviv enchants visitors with its rich
spiritual and architectural heritage, evident in the breathtaking array of sacred buildings that line its cobbled lanes.
Our route will take us past iconic churches that showcase a remarkable blend of Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance,
and Neo-Classical styles.

Having explored Lviv’s iconic sights, step into CENT AURA—a restaurant steeped in history. The elegant interiors blend timeless architectural details with contemporary design, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere where past and present harmoniously meet.
Founded in 1848 on Rynok Square, where a bookbinding workshop once stood, the restaurant-winery of Ludwig Stadtmüller quickly became a gathering place for Lviv’s elite, who would meet by the fireplace in the second hall of the “Kentaur” as locals called it after the sculpture of a tipsy centaur on the corner of Krakivska Street, for a glass of red wine. The winery operated until the 1930s, and since the 1960s, it was transformed into a café-bar called “Na Rynku”, the venue was famous for its layered, colorful cocktails. In 2006, the Restaron company revived Kentaur, and by 2012, after a full renovation, Kentaur became the first place in Lviv to roast its own coffee and introduced legendary breakfasts, setting new standards for the city’s dining scene.
Today, CENT AURA is celebrated for its innovative approach to Ukrainian and European cuisine. TRANSFER from LVIV to YEREMCHE and VERHOVINA
After having breakfast at the hotel and checking out transfer to Yaremche (approx. 2.5-hour drive)
Yaremche is a scenic town in the Ukrainian Carpathians known as the “Pearl of the Carpathians.” It serves as a popular mountain resort and a gateway to attractions like the Prut River Waterfall, Holy Prophet Elijah Monastery and Kosivskiy Bazar.
Kosivskiy Bazar is a must-visit destination for tourists seeking authentic Ukrainian souvenirs and delicacies. Here, you’ll have the
chance to sample a variety of homemade treats and discover local craftsmanship in a vibrant, traditional marketplace. It’s an ideal
spot to immerse yourself in the authentic flavors and culture of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
Transfer to Verkhovyna (approx. 1 hour)
Upon arrival, check-in at the Hotel Verhovel.
Take time to relax and recharge after the morning’s activities before we continue exploring this new destination. More memorable experiences await.
Note: Verkhovyna is widely recognized as the cultural center of the Hutsul region, preserving the unique traditions, crafts, music, and spiritual heritage of this ethnographic group in the Carpathian Mountains, and remarkably, they have managed to maintain their distinct cultural identity despite historical challenges and external pressures.
We’ll visit the home-based Cheese Farm/Museum not far from our hotel.
By participating in a cheesemaking demonstration, we’ll gain insight into this authentic Carpathian culinary tradition, learning about the processes that transform fresh mountain milk into world-recognized cheese
(8 awards won in the 2024 World Cheese Awards).
Cheese and local wine tasting will conclude this hour-long visit.
Moving on:
Be prepared to be transformed into a wedding party member at our next stop. Immerse yourself in a captivating re-enactment of an authentic Hutsul wedding ritual, where you’ll witness the region’s rich traditions and experience the lively celebrations that define these events. Enjoy a bountiful feast of delicious food and drink, and take an active part in the ritual as you celebrate like a local.
After the lively Hutsul wedding celebration, take a peaceful walk through the village on your way to the hotel. As evening deepens, breathe in the pure and fragrant mountain air, listen to the gentle sounds of the countryside, and watch as the first stars begin to appear in the darkening sky. Admire the traditional wooden houses that line the quiet streets, and soak in the serene ambiance.
Transfer from VERHOVINA to BEREHOVE (ZAKARPATTIA)
Enjoy the early morning drive to Berehove (approx. 3.5 – 4 hours) immersing yourself in the picturesque landscapes of western Ukraine.
You will discover Berehove, a charming Transcarpathian town known for its soothing thermal pools and rich multicultural heritage. Berehove’s Hungarian influence has profoundly shaped its cultural identity over the centuries, making it a unique center of Hungarian heritage in Ukraine. Founded in 1063 as an estate of the Hungarian Prince Lampert, Berehove developed as a significant educational and cultural hub for Hungarians in the region.
